After a one-year hiatus, the Toledo Jeep Fest returned in 2018. The first Jeep Fest in 2016 during the 75th anniversary of Jeep was only a one day event, while the 2018 Toledo Jeep Fest expanded to 3-days!
2018 Toledo Jeep Fest kicked off on Friday, August 10th at the Toledo Jeep Factory with a specially constructed Jeep Off-Road Course and Welcome Party. KC and the Sunshine Band was the headliner for a kick-off concert later in the evening.
There were even Jeeps mating, during the parade!
The parade ended with each Jeep lining up in the streets around the Seagate Convention Center, intermixed within the vendor displays. The vendor representation was very strong for the 2018 Jeep Fest, with great displays from several well known vendors including, ACE Engineering, JKS Manufacturing, Rugged Ridge, Jeep Performance Parts, and many, many more.
One local vendor, Wheel Shield, caught my attention, with a unique take on the Jeep tire/wheel cover.
Within the Seagate Convention Center, there were some great museum quality examples of war Jeeps, as well as older CJ’s, Willys, and FSJ’s.
There was also a neat take on Jeep grille modification, that doesn’t bother me, with JL grilles used as art.
The 2018 Toledo Jeep Fest tremendously improved upon the 2016 Toledo Jeep Fest, and I look forward to what 2019 and beyond will bring. Jeep Fest should definitely be on the list of Jeep destinations!
